First day: We will meet at 9 am at the Arutam Ecotours office in Cuenca and start our journey to Morona Santiago in el oriente soon after. Our arrival at our hotel in Limón is scheduled around noon. Afterwards we will have a good lunch and explore the small town for a while. We will then depart to a site with ancient petroglyphs and produce fresh sugarcane juice ourselves. After this activity you can take a refreshing swim in the river and have fun going tubing. In the evening, we will go back to Limón where you will be served your dinner.
Second and last day: After a hearty breakfast, we will drive to a small Shuar community in the middle of the rainforest. We will walk on an enchanted rainforest trail to reach a waterfall, which the Shuar still use for their mysterious rituals. This walk in the jungle will be followed by a traditional meal prepared by the Shuar. We can also organize a traditional Shuar performance with typical dances with an extra fee for the community. After our good-byes, we will return to the hotel and prepare our trip back to Cuenca, which we will reach in the late afternoon.
