Inca Trail

Hiking the Inca trail Ingapirca at the Inca trailAfter a two hour ride from Cuenca we will arrive at Lake Culebrillas where our big hike and adventure start. Originally the Cañaris and the Incas used the path of our hike, also known as the Inca Trail or Capac ñan to communicate with the different populations of their immense territory. Along the trail we will enjoy the beauty of the Andes and the páramo vegetation and discover impressive archeological remnants of the Incas and the Cañaris. You will be able to observe the daily life of the people living in the surroundings and take breathtaking pictures. Our hike ends in a small Cañari village called San Jose. We finish our tour with a visit to Ecuador’s largest and most important Inca ruins: Ingapirca. This trip is offered every Saturday.
