Friday, April 28th: Devil’s Nose & Ingaprica

We end the week of April with our day Trip to the Devil’s Nose train and Ingapirca. Enjoy a wonderful car and later train ride through the anden mountains with wonderful views. After departing Cuenca in the morning you head to Alausi where you board the train. From there you take the historic train to the small town of Simbabwe, where you get to enjoy some ritual dances and music and the famous Devil’s Nose. On the way back to Alausi you can say goodbye to the train tracks. Once back in Alausi you will enjoy a tasty lunch and head on to Ingapirca, where our guide will explain you everything about the history of that unique place. You will arrive back in Cuenca late in the day.

Take a trip through the wonderful Andes mountains and visit the Devil’s Nose. Upon leaving Cuenca, we will be traveling 3 hours north to a small town called Alausi. From there we will be riding on a comfortable train and enjoy breathtaking views. We are offering this tour at a cost of $90 as a shared trip. Come with us on a scenic railroad ride through the beautiful Andes mountains and valleys! Departure time is 7 am from Cuenca, and head to the town of Alausi where you will board the train. On the train you will relax and enjoy the breathtaking views. The narration on the trip is bilingual in both Spanish and English. At a stop in Sibambe you will be able to watch some traditional dancing. After returning back in Alausi we will have lunch and take a detour to the archaeological complex of Ingapirca, the best preserved and most important Inca site in Ecuador.
