Canyoning, Caving and Rafting Adventure (3 days)

Rafting Tour to the Rainforest in Ecuador tour a la selva tour in den Regenwald DSCN3320 (Large)First day: From Cuenca we drive over the western Andes to Morona Santiago. Our arrival at our hotel in Limón is scheduled around noon and we will have a good lunch. We will then meet for canyoning. The amazing waterfalls where we do the rappeling are located in the rainforest and are great for a little adventure in the jungle. At the end of the day we will return to Limón for a delicious dinner and you can explore the small town for a while.

Caving Tour/Rainforest/EcuadorSecond day: After a hearty breakfast, we get ready to depart to the cave. Within the obscure cave you can see an underground river and a waterfall, so don`t forget to bring flashlights. After our discoveries in the dark, we will have our well earned lunch at the Upano River. You will then be introduced to the rafting equipment and get on the boats. While navigating on the category 3 river you can enjoy beautiful views at the waterside onto the jungle. At the end we will stop at a hot spring to relax for a while. In the late afternoon you will return to Limón and have a hearty dinner before settling down at the hotel.

Third day: Today, after breakfast, we will drive to a small Shuar community in the middle of the rainforest. We will walk on an enchanted rainforest trail to reach a waterfall, which the Shuar still use for their mysterious rituals. This 23 hour hike in the jungle will be followed by a traditional meal prepared by the Shuar. We can also organize a traditional Shuar performance with typical dances with an extra fee for the community. After our good-byes, we will return to the hotel and prepare our trip back to Cuenca, which we will reach in the late afternoon.
